The extrajudicial procedure for the sale of a mortgaged property executed before a notary public has had, and continues to have, a turbulent history. First of all, from the legislative standpoint, with regulations that had remained in place for many years but have recently changed greatly into rules without very good technical development. And also from the judicial standpoint, as its adaptation into the constitutional system has been called into question by the highest courts in the land.
