The radio frequency identification technology, or RFID, working under the EPC (Electronic Product Code) has revolutionized supply chains globally thanks to its ability to increase traceability, visibility and operational efficiency. However, its potential impact as a security tool has not been addressed by companies. This paper shows the findings after EPC was implemented as an anti-theft security system and control tool.
