Abstract

The perennial problem of setting the Christian faith in a particular culture has been a challenge to theologians and the missionaries alike. Each culture boasts of a communitarian code of ethics and behaviours relevant to their context as endorsed by religion. Tribal cultures are nc exception. Sobaliba is a cultural code of ethics set in a tribal culture running parallel to Jesus' ethics of helping the needy and sacrificing oneself for the sake of the other. Where do the two intersect and where can they be set to interface is an issue that is dealt with in this paper. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
