The following paper presents a Moodle study space for the introduction to the specialized scientific literature research, developed at the university Duisburg-Essen. The Blended-Learning project was developed and given practical application by the expert of the university library, in co-operation with specialists of the faculty for Anglophone studies. Apart from the co-operative execution, the curricular integration of the library competence certificate into the English studies is a special feature of the online course.
