Abstract
- The article offers information on the important role in supplying of several low American Petroleum Institute (API) gravity crude oils including Canadian, Venezuelan and Mexican to world refineries. It mentions that desalting viscous crude is an extremely difficult process. It also mentions that minimizing coking or asphaltene precipitation in the heaters demands extreme care.
