Abstract
- The article focuses on the history of the painting "16 Juillet 1988," by French painter Michel Parmentier. The author explains that Parmentier copied his paper folding method, called "pliage," from Simon Hantaï, explores why his use of neutrality in his work, and discusses the transformation of his working process between the 1960s and 1980s.
