Abstract

The current temple of Rebolledo de la Torre (in the province of Burgos) preserves an epigraphic collection made up of two inscriptions -- a Chronica historica (Historical chronicle) and a Roboratio -- which represents one of the few historical evidences we have of its medieval past. In this paper we approach its study in order to highlight the advertising activity of this institution and illustrate, as far as possible, the complex relationships between St Mary of Piasca and Rebolledo de la Torre at the end of the 12th century through the advertising activity of both monasteries.
