Abstract

The article presents research which discussed the use of subchondral drilling as an established marrow stimulation approach. Topics covered include the importance of osteochondral repair to enhance the condition of the subchondral bone as well as perforation of the bone with small drill holes to address articular cartilage defects. Also mentioned is the need for marrow stimulation to support bone-cutting devices.
