Abstract
- The article discusses the research study conducted that reveals the role of semicarbazide-sensitive amine oxidase (SSAO) inhibition in ameliorating kidney fibrosis in a unilateral ureteral obstruction murine model. Topics discussed include dual function of SSAO in mediating inflammation and reactive oxygen species production, effects of SSAO Inhibition on Tubulointerstitial Fibrosis, and effect of SSAO Inhibition on Renal Proinflammatory Cytokines and Nitrotyrosine Expression.
