Abstract: The article offers information on two events organized in Great Britain on the occasion of World Sights Day on October 9, 2014. It mentions about celebration by relatives of a cataract patient in Malawi for his successful operation whose live streaming was provided by charity Sightsavers. Also discussed is an event in Scotland in which Alex Neil, health secretary of Scotland, pointed out that Scotland has introduced universal free eye care.
