Abstract

Volume expansion measurements of single crystalline UGe2 samples have been made under pressure. The linear coefficient <f>αV(T)</f> at ambient pressure shows a broad hump at around <f>Tx∼25</f> K and a sharp transition at <f>TC=52</f> K. We have observed that the anomaly in <f>ΔαV</f> at <f>Tx</f> becomes prominent and increases in magnitude with increasing pressure. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
