Abstract

An interview with Richard Parker, editor of the periodical "The Journal of Blacks in Higher Education," is presented. He talks about performance of African Americans in terms of education, African American women opting to become teachers, no increase in college enrollment by African American students and an increase in the cost of education in the U.S. He discusses quality of education provided in the U.S. colleges, cultural biases in entrance examinations, dropout rate among minority students.
