Abstract
- The article examines the effectiveness of rehabilitation interventions to reduce deconditioning in older adults during an acute hospital admission. It highlights several factors that assess the effectiveness of the interventions including the ability to fund treatment programs, the disparate use of terms in clinical trials and the quality of the trials. It also notes that the acute setting is not effective to treat functional decline.
