Abstract

The article discusses the increment in the susceptibility to oxidative damage for the Notothenioidei fish and the environmental perturbations brought by the climate change. Topics discussed include information on the ability of Antarctic fish, changes in the total enzymatic activity of catalase and acclimation to decreased seawater pH. Also mentioned is that the ability of Notothenioidei fishes to predict the antioxidant capacity of oceans.
