Abstract
- The article covers a study by early-education research fellow Katharine B. Stevens which found that New York's teacher-dismissal due process policy is focused on rehabilitation, leading to many teachers being fined or suspended rather than fired regardless of how serious the infractions. Cases involving excessive absenteeism, poor performance, and abuse among New York City teachers are examined.
