Abstract
- The article discusses a study which compared the clinical and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) outcomes between an injection of mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) with marrow stimulation and marrow stimulation alone in patients with osteochondral lesions of the talus (OLT). It concluded that even with the existence of poor prognostic factors, an injection of a stromal vascular fraction (SVF) containing MSC with marrow stimulation should be considered as a treatment for OLT.
