Das HeBIS Discovery System.

As one of their services the HeBIS Union central office offers the HeBIS Discovery System (HDS) to its member libraries. This service comprises a user interface with search assistance through a modern search engine, an extended search space which includes content from databases and full texts via a resource discovery service and all the usual functions of a local online catalogue. Technologically, HDS is a combination of the open source OPAC VuFind, the search engine Solr, the resource discovery service EDS and the link resolver ReDi. This paper looks at the structure of the project and the experience gained from developing the above service cooperatively. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
