The fight against social and geographic inequalities is a key goal of the third French Cancer Plan (2014-2019). Achieving this goal requires addressing three issues: an improved observation and measurement of inequalities; the integration of inequality issues in the very design of actions for prevention, screening and healthcare; the identification of effective and transferable interventions, from an evidence base point of view.
