Abstract
- The article discusses the implementation of a government-ordered lockdown in Sierra Leone in an effort to combat an Ebola virus epidemic in the country. Topics addressed include concerns regarding a lack of adequate medical infrastructure to deal with the outbreak in Sierra Leone; the government's goal of visiting residences in order to educate individuals about the disease and identify potentially infected people; and the rapid spread of the disease in Freetown, Sierra Leone.
