Application Effect of Standardized Case in Teaching Basic Nursing Skills.

Abstract

Objective To investigate the positive significance of standardized case in improving the teaching effect of "basic nursing techniques ". Methods We selected 64 health professionals in our school in grade 2012 as the research object. According to Student ID No. 1-64 odd and even numbers trainees were divided into experimental group (odd numbers) and control group (double number) . The control group students received traditional teaching. Experimental group students receivedtandardized case teaching. Results Experimental group students' average scores in theory, practice 1 and practice 2 examination were over 85 points, which were much higher than the control group (P < 0.05) . The satisfaction degree of students in the experimental group on standardized case pedagogy and teacher was higher than control group. Meanwhile, the students in the experimental group had more interest in basic nursing technical disciplines ( P < 0.05) . Conclusion Standardized case teaching can help students establish nursing norms awareness, strengthen the theoretical knowledge and practical operation, enhance students'interest in learning, so it has a positive meaning.
