Abstract
- The article discusses a study on the association between Interferon Gamma Release Assays (IGRAs) and Tuberculin Skin Test (TST) among children referred by pediatricians and clinics who did not participate in health department contact investigations. Topics discussed include an evaluation if IGRA results in children being seen for suspected latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI) and the option of a tiered approach for immunocompetent children with positive TSTs and an IGRA.
