- The article reports that credit-card companies MasterCard Inc. and Visa Inc. are introducing technology called tolkenization that replaces sensitive customer information on credit cards with numbers that can be used to validate a customer's identity. Data breaches at several retailers including Home Depot Inc. and Target Corp. have added urgency to improving card security.
