Abstract
- The article focuses on a study concerning the antagonism of the phosphatase PP1 by the measles virus V protein needed for innate immune escape of melanoma differentiation-associated protein 5 (MDA5). It mentions the key contributor to the pathogenicity of measles virus and its ability to suppress host immune responses. It explaines how measles virus avoids cytosolic detection by members of the retinoic acid-inducible gene I (RIG-I)-like receptor (RLR) family.
