Abstract

The article presents research which assessed the efficiency of screening children age four to five to determine those who might have teacher-reported mental health issues at the age of six to seven. Topics covered include accuracy of data gathered from parents and information from the Longitudinal Study of Australian Children (LSAC). Also mentioned is the importance of targeted interventions to lessen the prevalence of mental health issues in children.
