Neurodegeneration: Alzheimer's disease under strain.

The author reflects on the two papers published in the periodical "Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences" by J.C. Watts and J.Stöhr, on amyloid beta protein aggregates which leads to Alzheimer's disease in 2014. It mentions that different conformations of the aggregates helps in defining different strains of the disease which are similar to prion diseases. Also discusses the implications of Amyloid aggregates in neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's and Parkinson's.
