The impact of water shortage on agriculture during water years (1992-2012) With emphasis in cultivation and production of horticultural products (Case Study: Lenjan township).

Abstract
- Horticulture activities have great importance in Lenjan Township. In this region, both surface water and groundwater are used for irrigation in cultivated areas. As result of drought in recent years, there have been fluctuations in agricultural water suppliers. In this study, the effect of decreasing water sources on the Cultivation and production of major horticultural crops has been studied. This applicable research is descriptive in type and the method of data acquitting is documentary. In this study the data has been analyzed using Pearson correlation method and simple liner regression. The result of this study has shown in creasing of cultivated horticultural products and nuts (Almond, Walhut) in spite of water sources decreasing, however, producing total horticultural products, cultivated area and Grape production has diminished at some time. The cultivated area and horticultural products in drought years compared to wet years in statistical studied period demonstrates a tremendous decrease. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
