Abstract

This article describes a case study involving the use of lung perfused blood volume computed tomography (PBV-CT) to select the target lesions when performing balloon pulmonary angioplasty (BPA) in a 73-year-old man who complained of progressive exertional dyspnea. Topics covered include the clinical history of the patient, results of PBV-CT done on the patient, and the outcome of the patient. A discussion on pulmonary endarterectomy is included.
