Abstract
- The article discusses the use of thermoluminescence detectors (TLD) in brachytherapy. Topics discussed include the use of diamonds in TLD as it offers several benefits including good sensitivity to ionising radiation and linearity of up to 3 Gy, the proper method of measuring dose with TLD and the use of TLD in evaluating dose distribution in an x-ray tube. Also mentioned is its use for dosimetry of BNCT beam.
