Discussion on Strengthening Management of Large-scale Precision Instruments in Colleges and Universities.

Large-scale instruments are the base and support for teaching and research in universities. With the increase of education investment in our country, the number of large-scale precision instruments in colleges and universities was greatly increased. However, due to the complex structure and high operating costs of these instruments, they were very difficult to manage, and the utilization efficiency was very low. The current situation and problems of the utilization efficiency of large-scale precision instruments in colleges and universities were analyzed in this paper. Based on the management of Food Safety and Quality Control Research Center in College of Food Science and Technology of Shanghai Ocean University, the paper suggested that we ought to improve purchasing demonstration, strengthen its contingent, reinforce daily management, intensify extent of sharing to improve the utilization efficiency so that these instruments can be served for teaching and scientific research better.
