Studies the behaviour of the soil-nailed walls constructed under a bridge abutment using a three-dimensional nonlinear finite-element analysis. Utilization of a modified hyperbolic soil model with unloading hysteresis; Calibration of the model against an instrumented case history; Variability of parameters to evaluate their influence on the design process.
