Abstract

The article focuses on the preparation by the leadership of IRA/Sinn Fein of a second ceasefire in 1997 in time for a maximum benefit for the republican Peace Strategy. Such Peace Strategy has two significant aims. First is to comprehend, subvert, and eventually destroy moderate constitutional nationalism and be able to replace it with militant republicanism. Second, to oblige unionists into violent confrontation with the British government as a prelude to persuading London, England and Dublin, Ireland to impose an anti-unionist solution.
