Abstract
- The author describes annotations to the poem "The Bard" by Thomas Gray and written documents from Grey's friend William Mason, which are preserved at Pembroke College Library of Cambridge in England, and which refer to an undiscovered orchestration of "Bard" as an oratorio. Marginalia, descriptions of the proposed overture, and composer John Christopher Smith are also mentioned.
