Abstract

Elucidates the genetic compartmentalization by region and by cell type in multicellular organisms using patterned reporter gene expression in the Malphigian tubules of the Drosophila melanogaster. Division of tubules into multiple domains; Multiple cell subtypes in tubules; Single-cell precision of genetic domains; Establishment of domains in living tubules.
