Abstract

The article discusses a research on enzymatic activity of prenyltransferase which catalyzes the di-prenylation of alkaloid paxilline. Topics discussed include expression of recombinant prenyltransferase genes in Escherichia coli, identification of indole diterpene biosynthetic gene clusters, and cloning of genes which controls biosynthesis of fungal organic compound fusicoccin A.
