The top genes: on the distance from transcript to function in yeast glycolysis

With its abundant components and extensive study, the glycolytic pathway in the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae would appear ideal to obtain and reconcile the ‘omes of transcript, protein, metabolite and flux.
