The article reports that the Centre for Blast Injury Studies at Imperial College London has brought together engineers and military and civilian clinicians along with scientists to understand the mechanism of injuries caused by improvised explosive devices (lEDs) in Afghanistan and to investigate treatment and mitigate strategies.
