Metabolomic data streaming for biology-dependent data acquisition.

The article proposes a solution to the time demands of metabolomic data upload to the XCMS Online, an Internet-based platform for uploading metabolomic data and cloud-based processing as of June 2014. Topics highlighted include a background on the role played by the metabolomic software XCMS in the emergence of metabolomics as a technology for cellular biochemistry data processing and demonstration of the efficacy of streaming in laboratories at various locations.
