- Highlights: [•] Transcriptome analysis of Xenopus limb buds predicted differential expression of three sprouty (spry1a, 2 and 4) genes. [•] Distal expression of all three preceded restriction of spry1a and 4 to anterior distal mesenchyme and spry2 to the AER.
