- Highlights: [•] We study the evolution of shoaling internal solitary waves. [•] We used hyperbolic-tangent stratifications with thin pycnocline. [•] We did high resolution numerical simulations of full equations. [•] We compared results with predictions of weakly-nonlinear models.
