Highlights: [•] Two E-PB sensors were designed for detection of anti-Ara h 2 antibodies. [•] A sensor was fabricated with a His-tagged peptide probe on a Ni(II) NTA monolayer. [•] A sensor was fabricated using the conventional method with a thiolated probe. [•] The His-tagged sensor has a lower detection limit than the thiolated sensor.
