Abstract
- The article discusses a May 2014 report released by the Brown Center on Education Policy at the Brookings Institution that states there is a bias in the way U.S. school principals evaluate teachers during classroom observations. Topics discussed include the teacher evaluation systems that are part of U.S. federal education standards, the use of the value-added approach of teacher evaluation, and the connection between student demographics and how teachers are rated.
