Abstract

Discusses new regulations for seafood safety that will take effect on December 18, 1997. Seafood processors' adoption of food safety practices based on the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) system; US Department of Agriculture's issuance of HACCP rules for meat and poultry by 1996; Food & Drug Administration's (FDA) publication of the rules in the December 18, 1995 issue of `Federal Register.'
