Abstract
- The article discusses aspects of the move by John Conyers Jr., former U.S. Representative for Michigan and founder of the Congressional Black Caucus, in filing petitions for re-election in the state. According to the county clerk Cathy Garrett, Conyers' petitions are insufficient in accordance with the current state laws and statutes. The views of Leslie Coleman, a retired Detroit resident, is also noted.
