Abstract
- The article focuses on the financial performance of law firm Shook, Hardy & Bacon in Kansas City, Missouri in 2013. It reports that the firm was eased out of The Am Law 100 top grossing law firms after posting declines in gross revenue for two consecutive years. It discusses metrics such as revenue per partner and profits per partner, promotion of partners into the equity class and lateral hires. Comments from Shook Hardy chairman John Murphy are presented.
