Abstract
- The article focuses on the role of nurses in providing assistance among women who have experienced rape and war-related sexual assistance. Topics discussed include posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) experienced by women victims, the key role of nurses to facilitate the removal of communication barriers, and familial support and prevention of escalation when identifying risks for violence.
