Abstract

A conference paper about the impact of polarization on the relationship between macroeconomic fundamentals and outcomes of the U.S. presidential elections is presented. It discusses economic model of presidential election outcomes including gross domestic product (GDP) growth, inflation and measure of the expansiveness of monetary policy. The study concludes that one type of polarization effects relationship between economic context and presidential election results.
