Abstract
- The article focuses on whether Nigeria and South Africa comply with their obligations to ensure that transnational companies (TNCs) operating in extractive industries protect human rights. It analyzes their efforts with reference to the traditional state obligations echoed by the Maastricht Guidelines. It focuses on domestic law related to human rights in the oil and mining industries.
