Abstract

The article presents a study which examines the intracellullar salmonid pathogen Piscirickettsia salmonis. The study was performed using the L- cysteine which showed a good correspondence with the minimum inhibitory concentration (MCI). The study reveals that the L-cysteine is suitable to determine the MIC values of Piscirickettsia salmonis strains.
