Highlights: [•] The RRV infected group showed cholestasis, retardation and extrahepatic biliary atresia. [•] miR-222 was highly expressed, and PPP2R2A was inhibited in the murine biliary atresia model. [•] miR-222 profoundly modulated the process of fibrosis in the murine biliary atresia model.
