Abstract

This article is theoretical approach sustainable development and corporate social responsibility, a topic discussed worldwide. It presents a brief review on the evolution of commercial law in the world, and especially in Brazil to achieve its business phase, as well as the economic expansion that occurred after the Second World War, globalization, generating a rampant growth inattentive to environmental and social providing a development of unstructured and disorderly manner from the point of view sustainable. The overall goal of this article is to demonstrate the need for companies to act in a supporting sustainable development making a parallel with the company's social responsibility. What is the importance of companies maintaining its operations in order to preserve the environment for future generations? No difference between sustainable development and corporate social responsibility? The methodology used was the inductive method, operated by the techniques of the referent category, the operational concept and literature. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
